Pinkalicious Blog Hop

Yeh!!!  I am participating in the Pinkalicious Blog Hop today.  We are celebrating the birthday of
Melissa Gonzalez
Happy Birthday Melissa!  Thank you for letting me participate in your pink blog hop.

After having issues with downloading, I think I am ready to go.  I usually make pretty simple cards, so this was a little more involved than I usually do.  I had to carefully cut out the butterfly...but, I love it. Hope you like...Thanks for stopping by!

Is is a mix of companies...lol.  The paper is DCWV, ribbon was from Hobby Lobby, embossing folder is Sizzix - unfortunately, I am not sure of the name (sorry), the stamp sets and rhinestones are from Stampin' Up!.  The butter fly and the black layers are pop dotted up if you can't tell.  I also bent the wings of the butterfly to give a little more dimension.

There are a couple more projects I am working on...I make custom Bridal and Prom garters and these are n the works.  Since they were pink and black I thought I would give you a sneak peak.

Thank you for stopping by...June and July are busy for me with Relay For Life and I am also in our local Circus Band and the Circus is starts the next week.  There are 11 shows and a parade.  I am playing in 10 of the 11 shows and will be in the parade.  The shows last 2 1/2 hrs at least and we play 3 hours total.  It is a tough week, but it is so much fun.  The Circus is put on by area kids from 5 - 18.  It is a sight...high wire, trapeze, tumbling, clowns.

Please make sure to visit the next blog...Sylvia

Also, a big thank to Melissa for allowing me to participate in the hop with all these talented ladies!

Busy Week!

4 days till our Relay For Life!  UGH!!  I have SOO much to do!  I have a program to get done, I am making 360 mini cupcakes for our Survivors and Caregivers, look up cancer facts, make sure all forms are done and ready to go, prepare my opening ceremony, and I am sure there are a couple things that I am missing.  I have been SO busy this whole month that this all seem to sneak up on me.  We are remodeling our home, so everything is in all over.  Looking forward to next month, so I can start crafting more and RELAX!  It is all for a good cause though!

Loving blogging!  Trying to figure out different things to do.  I am hoping to take a cartridge and make different things out of everything on the cartridge or make all images and place in a binder.  I have trouble picturing the images or figuring out what colors the different layers should be.  I hope that will help. I have almost 100 right now, so it will take quite a while!  LOL!

Well, I have a feeling I will not be posting again until next week.  I will try to take some pictures of the 360 cupcakes!  I don't think I have room to display them all.  I am planning a SURPRISE birthday party at the Relay, so I can't have anyone else help.  I haven't told any of my committee or team captains.  I have told my Mom and MIL.  They offered to help, but I hate to impose on their time.  It was my CRAZY idea, so I feel I need to make it work!

Again, a BIG THANKS to all you stopped by and commented on my card yesterday.  I will be in another one on July 9th, so make sure to catch that one too.  I will be a LOT less stressed then.

Thanks!!

Thanks for all you have stopped by and checked out my blog!  Thank you for all the "SWEET" comments.  I had a bunch of comments about the background paper....it is DCWV Sweet Stack.  I purchased it at Hobby Lobby.  Hope that helps.  I love cupcakes!

Cupcake Birthday Blog Hop

Welcome to Cupcake Birthday Blog Hop!!

Ok, this is my first Blog Hop I have participated in.  I am not sure about how to do everything, but here it goes.

Sylvia at Bella Scrapbook Designs is hosting this swap, as it is her 41st birthday!  Happy Birthday!!

I used Sweet Treats Cricut cartridge, various DCWV papers, Stampin' Up! rhinestones, and ribbon (not sure where it came from).  The cupcake was cut at 3.5 inches.  It is a simple card, but I have found myself doing more and more of these lately. I considered putting a sentiment on the front, but it ended up looking too busy.  I think the cupcake with the birthday candle pretty much tells it is a birthday card.

Thanks for stopping here's your next stop:

If you misssed any here is the line up.

Getting Ready for a BUSY week!!

Well, I was hoping to post more than I have.  June is a very busy month for me.  I am the Event Chair for my local Relay For Life and it is next Friday and Saturday.  With meetings, work, preparation and everything else, I just haven't had the time to post anything.  I am going to be in Cupcake Birthday Blog Hop on Monday.   I will have to take some time to craft - darn! That should help me relax a little, so I can get thru the final stretch of what will be a whirlwind week. Hope you can stop back to see what I have created.  Looking forward to my first blog hop as a participant!

WooHoo! I'm Blogging!

LOL!  My second post!  Wow look at me go.

Things are looking up on my diet, bought new jeans in a smaller size!  YEH!!!

I am so excited.  I have joined two Blog Hops. Pinkalicious Blog Hop on July 9th and Cupcake Blog Hop on June 20.  Check back to see what I post.  Still working on getting some pictures of some of my card creations.

Here is the card I made for my Mom for Mother's Day
I used Linen Closet Paper from Hobby Lobby, the Build a Blossum Punch from Stampin' Up!, My Pink Stamper Stamp Set Family and Friends, and I am not sure where I got the lace flower trim.  Wish I knew so I could get more.  I bought it a LONG time ago.

I just finished a special order garter.  It was a beaded fringe garter with the Boston Red Sox.
What do you think?  The Bride loved it.  It also had a coordinating toss garter that didn't have the beads on it.

Here we go!! A little about me

Okay, so this is my very first post.  I am looking forward to joining the blogging community.  I follow SEVERAL blogs and view tons more.

I am Kristi Kirk.  I am married to Jason, 19 years, and have a daughter, Kayla - 16.  I also have 3 fur kids who are kitties -  Jack, Missy and Sophie.  I love to do just about any craft, but scrapbooking and card making are two of my favorite.  I have recently returned to cake decorating.  I also make custom Bridal and Prom garters.  I am the Event Chair for our local American Cancer Society Relay For Life.  I am currently on a new journey of losing weight.  I plan to participate in my second Susan G. Komen 3-Day Breast Cancer walk.  Unfortunately, I will not be able to do that until next year.  I have tried to participate in the Indy 500 Mini Marathon the past 2 years and haven't even been able to start, so that is a goal for next year too.

My husband and I LOVE, and I mean LOVE, to cruise!!!  We have been on 7 in the past 7 years (wish it could have been more).  We have our next one scheduled for December.  It is a Back to Back cruise on Royal Caribbean's Liberty of the Seas, so we will be spending 10 nights on this beautiful ship.  We will be visiting Cozumel, Belize, Jamaica and Haiti.  In Haiti, we plan to do the Zipline that is at Royal Caribbean's private resort.  It is 2600 feet long and 500 feet in the air and is billed as the longest zipline over WATER!!  We watched it last year and I was unable to do it at that time, SO I was determined to do it this year! It is on my bucket list, even though I am scared to death of heights.  As of yesterday, I can do it!!  YEH!! So, by December, I shouldn't have any problems doing it.  Check out the video of the zipline! COOL HUH?

Well, my intentions for this blog is to incorporate all my loves of crafting and share in my journey.  Thank you for visiting and I hope that you will follow the blog.
